Vacuum Hot Pressing Furnace
I. Usage:
The electric furnace with induction heating, graphite heating and molybdenum filament heating,is suitable for the sintering of metal powders,
inorganic non-metallic materials under vacuum, high temperature, hot pressing and protective atmosphere conditions. Thus it has the
function to complete the material’s pyknosis densification, prevent distortion and inhibit the nanometer-powder’s crystalline grain becoming
bulky.

III. Structure Description
The electric furnace is heating vertically (The pressure is from 5T to 100T, two ways of pressure: one and two way), and It also has two ways
of feeding and discharging: from the top or the side. It consists of furnace shell, heating element, insulation layer, pressure device, vacuum
system, electric control system and so on.
1. The furnace shell is in dual layer water-cooled structure with inner layer of polishing stainless steel and outer layer of high-quality anti-rust
carbon steel. There passes water between the two layers to cool the furnace to ensure the temperature of the furnace shell is under 60C. The
furnace cover is completed hoisting by upgrading the mechanical structure and opened manually by rotating to the back (one-way pressure).
The furnace cover is equipped with a locking device.
2. It is equipped with an observation window (OBW), thermocouple automatic access structure, infrared thermometer and water-cooled
electrodes (three phase). Thermocouple’s automatic access adopts electric mode, which has the function to automatically switch high and
low temperature. In order to prevent abnormal furnace temperature from causing accident, it is also equipped with over-temperature
protection thermocouples.
3. The heating elements are made of graphite tube (or molybdenum wire, induction) , which is divided into two kinds: single phase and three
phase heating. The heating element is designed reasonably to improve the temperature’s uniformity.
4. The insulating layer is made of graphite (or graphite paper) and carbon felt, and has good insulation function. With the unique designed
structure, it would reduce the vacuumizing time. The molybdenum wire hot pressed furnace’s insulating layer is the metal reflective screen.
5. The vacuum system is made of secondary vacuum pump, with one oil diffusion pump and a mechanical vacuum pump to achieve the high
and low vacuum degree. The vacuum valve is made of high vacuum flapper valve which is designed and produced by our company. With the
digital displayed vacuum gauge and PLC, it can achieve automatic switching and control of the high and low temperature.
6. The major loop of electric control system adopts low-voltage high current input method, and the electric control cabinet’s design refers to
the Siemens standard control cabinet, with human design, graphic simulation screen and push button on the control panel, which is
operated directly and conveniently. The temperature and pressure control machine is imported brand process control instrument. In the
cabinet, it is equipped with PLC, which could automatically sinter according to the presetting default procedures. The control system has
protection functions of sound and light alarm when such abnormal phenomena occurred as water break, over temperature, overcurrent,
automatic switch failure of thermocouples and so on.
